Privacy Policy
What data we collect
TariffLogicX Africa is designed to minimise data collection. Here is exactly what is stored:

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, location, or any personally identifiable information.
We do not sell any data to third parties.
Third-party services
- Anthropic Claude API — processes your product descriptions for AI classification. Anthropic's privacy policy applies: anthropic.com/privacy. We do not send any personally identifiable information to Anthropic.
- Google Play — handles payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Google's privacy policy applies.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications. Google's privacy policy applies.
Your rights under POPIA
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), South African users have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to processing of your information
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za

Data security
All communication between the app and our server uses HTTPS/TLS. The server does not log IP addresses beyond what is required for rate limiting. SQLite data on your device is stored in the app's private storage and is not accessible to other apps.
Children
This app is intended for business use by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Terms of Service
Disclaimer of accuracy
- Tariff rates, permit requirements, and trade agreement data may not reflect the most recent SARS Customs Tariff Schedule amendments.
- Always verify against the latest official SARS Customs Tariff Schedule before making any import/export decision.
- TariffLogicX Africa is not a substitute for professional customs advice.
- We accept no liability for losses arising from reliance on information provided by this app.

Acceptable use
You may not use TariffLogicX Africa to:
- Attempt to circumvent customs duties or import/export regulations
- Systematically scrape or download the tariff database
- Reverse-engineer or decompile the application
- Use the AI classification feature in a manner that violates Anthropic's usage policies
Pro subscription
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Google Play
- You may cancel at any time through Google Play; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period
- Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy
- We reserve the right to change Pro pricing with 30 days notice
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, TariffLogicX Africa and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the application.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
